How we check facts
Every grant figure, price, warranty term, and technical specification published on this site is checked against primary sources before publication and reviewed at least quarterly. We date-stamp every factual claim so you can see when it was last verified.
Our sources
- Government energy scheme guidance — grant amounts, eligibility criteria, scheme dates
- Scottish Government (gov.scot) — rural classification, policy updates
- Ofgem — Smart Export Guarantee rates, supplier obligations
- MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) — installer accreditation verification
- Manufacturer documentation — panel, inverter, and battery specifications and warranty terms
What we do not do
- We do not invent savings figures. All savings are stated as illustrative ranges with the assumptions shown.
- We do not claim accreditations that belong to our installation partner. MCS, TrustMark, and Gas Safe are held by Home Heating Services (Scotland) Ltd.
- We do not publish case studies or testimonials we cannot verify.
- We do not use rounded or inflated grant figures. The exact amounts from official government schemes are published.
Review schedule
Grant figures: reviewed quarterly (last checked August 2026). Pricing: updated when our installation partner changes their published price. Technical specifications: updated when equipment changes. Scheme end dates: checked monthly.
